No Worries

poemnoworries.png

I felt dirt between my toes
As I walked on the road
Without my shoes
It was rough and cold
I stared up into the sky
Just for the thrill
I didn’t know why
It gave me a chill
I picked a few flowers
And put them in my hair
I was outside for hours
I played without a care
I had no worries
I wasn’t afraid to die
I scraped my knees
And never cried
I laid in the grass
And took a rest
Time went by fast
I only have memories left
